Advances in mobile phones and digital cameras, etc. are supported by technologies to realize ultra-miniaturization and lightness, higher functionality, and higher performance, and this requires constituent materials with higher levels of precision and consistency in quality. Wakamatsu Plant, with its 40-year history and track record in metalized technologies, has the capabilities to meet these needs.
Our “metalized products for capacitors,” of which we were the first producer in Japan, are now formed of metalized aluminum several tens of nanometers thick on an extremely thin high macromolecule film of a thickness of 1.5 microns, and are indispensable to extreme miniaturization and lightness of capacitors. Additionally, for the macromolecule films used in gold and silver metallic yarn for use in apparel, we offer products composed of metalized gold and silver with superior corrosion resistance. What's more, we have recently carried out commercialization of a dual-layer CCL (copper clad laminate) that combines a variety of surface processing technologies.
At Mitsubishi Shindoh, going forward we will focus on improving metalized technologies and development of new metalized products that can meet customer needs.
